Chino Hills Boot Camp Expert Awesome Client Georgette Baker

Dear Sam and Trainer Rudy.

On 7/9/2010, at the age of 56 and after training with Rudy for 5 months, I walked 10 miles to three thousand feet of the Grand Canyon West Rim to Supai and on to the Havasupai Falls I was carrying a 24 pound backpack for a 2 night stay in a tent.

Two days later I walked out of the canyon, in four hours I walked 8.5 miles and the last 1.5 miles, a thousand feet steep climb I accomplished in one hour.

I passed people in their 20’s, 30’s and was passed by young people on horseback.

I was able to accomplish this without pain and with speed (2 miles/hour) because of the strength training I experienced with my trainer at Fitness Concepts.

Thank you for the strength I feel both physically and emotionally!

Georgette is one of our Super Stars at Fitness Concepts.  She has really enjoyed our program and we really enjoy having her here at the gym!

Check  her Out!!  This is her after picture from our 6 Week Total Body Transformation Backin January 2010.  Georgette has continued her strength training with us since and her results are amazing!!  As she said back at the Grand Canyon she was passing up 20 & 30 year old!!  YOU GO GEORGETTE!!!

We definately want to keep Georgette around FOREVER!!  She is an active part of our community making it a more fun and colorful place to live!  I have sneaked a peek on her singing with children on television &  seen her amazing performances around town.  She is a bilingual teacher/singer/storyteller/author.

All women want to maintain a beautifully formed feminine physique.  That’s just a statement of fact.  However, most women mistakenly shy away from anything that claims to “build muscle” for fear of looking too muscular.

Have no fear! A typical woman’s body is not built to look like the “Incredible Hulk” and without a lot of “outside assistance”, you won’t achieve that look even if that’s your end goal.

Building lean muscle mass is the key to maintaining a feminine physique and looking better than ever.  That’s right, it’s MORE IMPORTANT than doing ‘cardio’!  Below are five “muscle facts” every woman should know about.

 

 

Muscle Increases Metabolism
Muscle is metabolically active tissue and is what helps to burn calories and keep off those extra pounds. If you have more muscle, you will burn more calories, even as you sleep. The only way to elevate your resting metabolic rate is to build muscle mass by participating in any sort of resistance training, including body weight exercises.

You simply cannot attain your “Ideal Body” by doing only ‘cardio’. Cardiovascular training is important and promotes cardiovascular health, which is mainly beneficial for the inside of your body, but resistance training is not only great for the body’s outward appearance, but also helps to promote lean muscle mass which will put curves in all the right places. The ideal program will include both elements.

Maintaining muscle mass requires calories and is essential in lowering and keeping body fat levels down.
