Those who are exercising on a regular basis will be more likely to be depleting their muscle glycogen stores and this is a key factor for allowing the carbs you do eat to go into the muscles for storage rather than sitting around in the blood, waiting for insulin to take them up.
Aim to perform some form of exercise for at least 30 minutes per day to reap the benefits of this.
Finally, last but not least, another factor that will influence your blood glucose control is your dietary fat intake. if you aren’t eating enough dietary fat in your diet plan, your body is going to release the carbs into the blood stream much more quickly than if moderate amounts of fat had been consumed in that meal.
Aim to keep your dietary fat intake to around 20% of your total calorie intake. Anything less than this and you might run into some problems.
