Burn Fat Faster With Drop Set Training

One type of training that you should consider adding into your workout program if you want to up your calorie burn and enhance your fitness level is drop set training.  Many people get into the rut of going into the gym and performing the same old straight set routine they’ve done for ages.

While this may have brought you results initially when you first started it, there’s no denying the fact that now it no longer delivers the progress that you are likely hoping for.

So what can you do to help up your calorie burn, enhance your muscle definition, and take your fitness to new heights?

That’s where drop set training comes into play.  With this training strategy you will not only liven up your workouts but you’ll enhance your motivation as well as you’ll be getting far faster results because of it.

Let’s take a quick peak at what you need to know about drop set training.

Once that second set is completed, you’ll drop the weight one more time and perform a third and final set, doing as many reps as you can.

When doing this training, you will experience a much higher overall level of fatigue, so expect that you may need slightly longer to rest between each set that you perform.

If you rush through the sets too quickly, you’ll find that you are just unable to sustain the weights you normally would.

Since maintaining your weight lifted is one of the key factors of success, you do not want to see this moving downwards.

If you attempt to include drop set training into your workout routine before then, the chances are very good that you may end up injuring yourself or becoming too overstrained due to the stress this places on the body.

Drop set training is a more advanced technique, so make sure that you’re in the position to do it.

First you’ll want to figure out which exercises to do your drop sets with.  While you can certainly do them with compound exercises, most people will do best using them on isolation movements.

Be especially careful if you’re ever doing them with compound exercises for the lower body as this can get quite dangerous very fast due to the amount of fatigue produced.

Also keep in mind that you likely should only be using drop set training for 2-3 exercises per session, not on every exercise that you choose to perform.

Doing this protocol on too many exercises will just lead to overtraining very rapidly.

So there you have the primary tips to note about drop set training.  When used properly, this is a very effective method to help you reach your health and fitness goals.
