Important Points To Know About Working Out While On A Low Carb Diet

If you’ve decided to adopt a low carb diet plan as you go about your weight loss program, there are some important adjustments that you’re going to need to make to your workouts as well.

Low carb diets do have a specific workout protocol you need to follow as they are the most restrictive diet out there in terms of what you can handle physically.

Let’s go over what you need to know.

 

The very first thing that you should be doing is making sure that you time your carbs well.  Depending on the low carb diet approach you’re using, if you are going to be eating some carbs – say 40-50 grams per day, place the vast majority of these right around any workouts you’re doing.

Sam: Twenty pounds in six weeks. Today is November 18th, 4:00 o’clock, Saturday morning. You came in, you did an hour cardio. I’m proud of you. So let’s just figure out what we got on the scale here. 241.6. And we got to get this down to 221.6 in six weeks.

Rochelle: Yes.

Sam: Awesome. Looking forward to it.

Rochelle: I am ready.

Sam: All right. Let’s do this.

Chino Hills Personal Trainer 6 Week Challenge – Jane

Sam: It’s your boy, Sam, from Fitness Concepts with GI Jane, my long-time client. She’s going to step up and take the six-week transformation. So today is December 10th and we’re going to step up. I think we got February 3rd, right?

Armando: No, no, it’s actually going to be January 18th.

Sam: January 18th is going to be six weeks?

Armando: Yes.

Sam: Oh, we got crunch time through the holidays. Let’s see what you got.

Jane: She’s on?

Sam: She’s on. 146.2. So now, we’re going to get down to 126.2 by January 18th. Ready to do this?

Jane: I’m ready.

Sam: Let’s do it.

Sam: We have Kim Saltlake in the house. Today is December 10th.

Kim: Yes.

Sam: And you’re going to do the six-week transformation which means that your weigh in date to lose 20 pounds, your due date is – that sounds like a pregnancy, is January 18th.

Kim: January 18th.

Sam: Like due date, that sounds like a pregnancy.

Kim: I don’t have it anymore.

Sam: No more kids.

Kim: No more babies.

Sam: No more kids, OK. So step on up.

Kim: OK.

Sam: We’ve got to get this on video. We’ve got to make it official.

Kim: Great.

Sam: Let’s see what you got.

Kim: All right.

Sam: You said 177 or something, right?

Kim: That’s what it was this morning.

Sam: 176.2 on this scale.

Kim: I like this one better.

Sam: So 20 pounds in six weeks so that means we got to get 156.2 on January 18th.

Kim: That’s right.

Sam: Awesome. See you there.
