The Skinny B**** Diet and Workout Program

I never forget the day. It was November 4th, 2006.
“Linda” walked in and had her credit card in hand and wanted to sign up.
“Linda” wasn’t in the greatest shape in the world. She looked
like she just needed a little “tune up” or should I say “tone up”.
She had no interest in a tour of our facility or anything.
She was just ready to sign up.
Now as a business owner that’s not a bad thing at all.
Most facilities would have been happy to take her money and
not asked her any questions.
But not me…..
I wanted to make sure it was the right fit for both of us.
So I asked her several questions to find out why she came in
on that day. (I wanted to find out her “hot buttons” what motivated her)
When I find out the emotional “hot buttons” of why a client wants to
workout then it’s easier to push them and help them reach their goals.
So I asked  “Linda”, why did you decided to sign up today as opposed to
last week or last month.
“Linda” replied, “because it’s time.”
I then replied, “It wasn’t the time last week.”
She replied back, “no it’s just the right time”
I was a little confused at this time and asked why it wasn’t a good time
last week and what has changed in one week.
She then replied in a very firm tone “look I just found out that my ex- husband
is going to our company’s Christmas party with his new skinny b****.  No way she is
going to look better than me”.
At this time Armando and I just were looking at each other in disbelief.
But “Linda” was dead serious.
That’s how the skinny b*** program was created.

Free Diabetic Medication / Cure For Diabetes?

My friends at Catalina Research Institute in Chino continue to set the standards for drug development in the Inland Empire. Joe Calleros, the operations director of the Institute and Dr. Jeff Unger have been helping many patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol abnormalities, obesity, chronic pain and even mental illness enter into clinical trials which would provide them with free medications and medical care for several months or even years.

Patients who participate in clinical research studies are not only compensated for their time, but often experience a much higher level of medical care than they would within a standard primary care practice. All of the studies are regulated by the FDA and closely monitored by the physicians at Catalina Research Institute.
Dr. Unger, who is an international thought leader in the field of diabetes, says that Catalina is currently working with novel types of insulin therapies which are not available at regular pharmacy outlets.

We also hope to begin working with any patients who have type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease to test a drug which may significantly improve kidney function.” For patients who have type 2 diabetes and heart disease, Dr. Unger is conducting a 5 year study known as LEADER, which evaluates the cardiovascular safety and efficacy of a drug called Victoza.

Patients who enter into this study will receive free medication for 5 years, which could reduce the cost of their prescription drug by over $15,000! Victoza is currently available in pharmacies and is known to improve glucose levels and lower weight in patients with type 2 diabetes.

“We are also working with medications which could potentially reverse diabetes related nerve disease,” says Dr. Unger. We are testing drugs which work on the kidneys to increase glucose excretion resulting in improved glucose control and weight loss. These drugs appear to be very safe in the long term and are several years away from becoming FDA approved for general use.

Rancho Cucamonga Boot Camp With Sylvia’s Progress Week #7

Sylvia was challenged to lose 40lb in 12 weeks in Rancho Cucamonga Boot Camp as she did when she was 37 years old.

One small problem: she is now 47 years old. Can she do it?

Why God Wants You To Exercise Part 1

I always wondered

Would God want us to exercise and take care of our physical being just as he would like us to take care of our spirituality.

So I asked a couple of my very religious clients and here is the answer I got from them.

Here is part 1 of 2 series “Why God Wants You To Exercise”.

Let’s start with a thesis statement that comes from the Bible:

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

This verse can also be stated this way: “Here is the story of God’s creation of the heavens and the earth.”

Holy Scripture goes on to explain the creation of the heavens and the earth, day and night, grass and trees, and all living things. He saw that it was good.

Then, He stated, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…So God created man in His own image; the image of god He created him; male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:26-27)

Wow, I’m made in God’s image! I’m created to take care of the earth and have dominion over it and the animals, birds, etc..

Let me remind you that God doesn’t make junk.

Note: Some of you reading this may not believe that this is how man got to be on this earth. In that case, you can come up with your own conclusion of how man got here. But if you follow this thesis, you will see the need to keep physically fit.

In the New Testament of the same Bible, there is a verse that reads:

“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods…Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? “…do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”(I Cor. 6:12-19)

Here are some other verses that might be helpful:

1 – Romans 12:1-2 – “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of god that you present your bodies in a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God…And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

We are constrained to be healthy.

2 – Mark 6:30-31 – “Then the disciples gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. 31 And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest awhile.”

We are reminded to rest so as to be worthy the next day.

3 – Psalm 139:14 – “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works.”

God has a perfect knowledge of man.

4 – Proverbs 31:17-18 – “She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms…her lamp does not go out at night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle.”

This woman is wise and virtuous. She stays strong so she can fulfill all the tasks before her.

All resources that God gives us are for our use to become the people we need to be.

There are many more verses in the Bible that speak to keeping the body pure.
